How to donate your lego bricks

CHILDREN FROM ALL 50 STATES HELP BRING CREATIVE MATERIALS TO NEW ORLEANS SCHOOLS, DONATING MORE THAN 1.6 MILLION LEGO® BRICKS

The LEGO® brick drive for New Orleans children was a massive success!  We want to sincerely thank the thousands of children, families, classrooms and others who generously sent in their own LEGO bricks for children who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina, along with their creative ideas for the future of a re-built New Orleans.

Due to the overwhelming support, we collected even more LEGO bricks than we could have imagined!  Including the LEGO match, 1,665,200 LEGO bricks have been delivered to 40 schools in New Orleans providing teachers and students with important creative classroom materials.

Along with the bricks, a LEGO Artist created a large, one-of-a-kind LEGO structure depicting the future of New Orleans, inspired by ideas received from kids across the country.   The structure is installed in the Children's Room of the Main Public Library in downtown New Orleans where it will be on permanent display.
